As the name suggests, Nuwave Brio is an air fryer that doubles as an oven due to its whooping 15.5-quart capacity.

While curating the list of the best air fryers with rotisserie, we stumbled upon this large air fryer.

While that list is still underway, we are happy to find a unit worthy of being part of it.

The air fryer boasts a wide temperature range of 50°-425°F and four rack positions for cooking multiple dishes without hiccups.

How Big Is This Air Fryer

Its dimensions are about 13 inches deep and slightly more than 14 inches wide.

So, it most likely requires permanent space on the countertop.

If you have a limited countertop space, the best place to keep this air fryer is on a kitchen island, along with other cooking appliances.

This way, your kitchen will stay organized, and your countertop will have enough space for meal prep.

Control Panel Is Intuitive And Smooth

The control panel includes touch buttons to interact with this air fryer.

And a digital display that shows the selected temperature and remaining cooking time.

There is also a dedicated button for preheating the air fryer.

You can adjust the temp by pushing the temp button and using the up and down arrows to increase or decrease.

The same goes for the time settings button.

Multi-Layer Cooking Offers Convenience

The air fryer has four rack positions to place its multiple racks and cooks a complete meal in one go.

A multi-layer air fryer is the best way to prepare delicious food for the entire family without extending your stay in the kitchen.

Since all the essential accessories used with this air fryer come in the box, you don’t have to spend extra money to buy them.

Removable Door Makes Cleaning Much Easier

One of the commendable features of this Nuwave Brio is its removable door, which makes reaching and cleaning the interior effortless.

However, if you are trying to detach the door right after cooking, wear oven gloves before touching it because it will be scorching.

We recommend cleaning the door after every cooking to avoid splatter stains and stubborn grease buildup.

See-Through Window And Internal Light Simplifies Cooking

The air fryer has a big see-through window covering its pull-down door.

And the internal light stays on when you are cooking.

This combo allows you to keep an eye on the food without opening the door repeatedly and losing the hot air.

It is an absolute delight to observe your rotisserie chicken while it turns and roasts on the rotisserie skewers or the chicken thighs getting deliciously crispy.

How Impressive Is Its Rotisserie Function

Nuwave’s claim that you can cook a 7-pound chicken using the rotisserie skewers is a bit far-fetched.

Still, the air fryer does accommodate 5 lb. chicken, cooking it in 45 minutes.

When we tested its rotisserie function, the chicken came out tender and beautifully golden brown with the right amount of crisp on the outside.

The meat was flavorful, juicy, and had a yummy skin, shaming most birds in the supermarket deli.

The integrated meat probe really helped us cook the chicken without over-drying it.

Is Its Grilling Function Any Good

Nuwave Brio 15.5 QT air fryer comes with a grill and girdle, which is good enough to eliminate the need for a standalone grill.

There are three power options—900, 1500, and 1800 Watts.

It will help you sear your steak, allowing it to attain the signature caramelized exterior of a grilled steak.

The heavy-duty reversible grill plate engraves noticeable char marks on the meat's surface. So, it is also good for making steak.

Cleaning The Nuwave Brio Air Fryer

Cleaning Nuwave Brio becomes challenging if you don’t clean the unit while food residues and oil splatters are warm.

You have two ways to clean the accessories: hand-washing and using a dishwasher.

  • When hand-washing, soak the used accessories in warm water and mild soap before scrubbing off the residue with a soft sponge.
  • When using the dishwasher, place the accessories on the bottom rack, the rotisserie basket, and the rotisserie skewer on the upper rack.
  • To clean the probe, simply wipe it with a damp cloth.

Note: to remove stubborn residue, leave the accessories in the soapy solution for 30 minutes to one hour before scrubbing them with a non-abrasive sponge.

Nuwave Brio Vs Chefman Air Fryer

The main difference between Nuwave Brio and Chefman multifunctional air fryer is their capacity and the presence of a temperature probe.

Nuwave Brio has 15.5 QT capacity and comes with a temperature probe.

Chefman is smaller, with around 10 QT capacity and has no temperature probe.

However, the chefman has an auto-shutoff, which is absent in Nuwave Brio.

Keeping these points in mind, Nuwave is better if you air fry large quantities of food and grill stakes.

The Chefman is more suitable if you want a great unit with many cooking presets for convenient cooking.
