I tested this air fryer to see if it really matches its claims of above-par cooking and justifies its displayed price tag.

Here is what I can share with you after more than 6 months of using it in our kitchen lab.

To our delight, it scored well on most of them.

Baking Performance Of Chefman Digital

Using the cake function, I baked a round cake.

Initially, the toothpick did not come out clean, so I added a few more minutes.

After that, the cake came out soft and spongy inside and a bit crispy outside.

Chefman Air Frying Results

To test air frying, I cooked chicken wings using the chicken leg marked preset on the control panel.

I shuffled the racks multiple times to acheive perfect goldenness and crunch.

They were steaming hot from the inside. The results were great, even when the racks was a bit crowded.

Though overfilling is never recommended and it is a serious air fryer mistake, I was delighted that it maintained the quality.

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same when I air fried fresh fries.

They were undercooked and a little soggy at various spots.

A complaint our team made while cooking food on the racks, is the shuffling of hot racks is a bit awkward and doing so multiple times is really frustrating.

Results Of Rotisserie Function

We also made rotisserie chicken. Choosing the right size chicken to fit inside is the only hassle you might face when preparing whole chicken.

Our recommendation is to use nothing weighing more than 3.5lb.

To make the whole thing compact and help it rotate, use kitchen cooking twine (don’t worry, it is oven-safe).

Spread aluminum foil on the drip tray; you will find no mess to clean.

The results of the rotisserie chicken were finger-licking.

Even the thickest parts were succulent, and the knife easily cut through them.

It is a good choice for a person who wants an air fryer with a rotisserie function.

• Initially, you will experience a smell in an air fryer similar to burning plastic, but it goes away after a few uses.
• When cooking softer foods in the rotisserie basket, it sticks in the holes, which is often a hassle to clean. But this problem is common to all air fryers with a rotating basket.
